when is the ball?
welly ball 2022 will be held on 5th November 2022!
what is the ball?
welly’s main event is the ball! the ball is an event held at Falside Mill that is historically the evening entertainment for the St Andrews’ Challenge; a large clay pigeon tournament contested by students from across the UK.
860 guests come in their best black tie and wellies for the dinner with a further 1140 guests joining for the afterparty!
buses are provided for transportation to and from the venue.
what are the bus timings?
all buses will be from and return to Madras College, South Street. timings are to be confirmed nearer the date of the event.
is welly ball only for students from the University of St Andrews?
whilst Welly Ball is held in St Andrews with a majority of attendees being from the University, we welcome students from all across the UK and abroad!
what if I have dietary requirements or allergies?
although each table will have a dietary requirement option supplied, dinner ticket holders are recommended to contact the committee if they have any specific dietary requirements or allergies they are concerned about.
